Tackling Winter Storm Janus....

Being a true Floridian, my experience with snow has been very limited.  A couple trips here and there where there was snow already on the ground and only twice where it was actually falling albeit brief.  Well that all changed this past January when I went to Pennsylvania for work and Winter Storm Janus decided to hit. I checked the weather everyday leading up to the trip and at some points there was no chance of snow then there was a chance for a flurry to back to being no chance.  Then Janus decided to happen.  All of a sudden we went from no snow chance to a 1-3 inch change to a 3-6 inch change to a "oh wait you are going to get a foot of snow" chance. Sure enough it started snowing that Tuesday morning and didn't stop until early on Wednesday morning.  Now of course we had clients to visit so a little bit of snow wasn't going to stop us....oh was I ever so wrong lol!  We made it to one stop and then had to turn back because it was snowing so hard that I could not keep the windshield on the rental defrosted enough to see out to drive.  This FL girl did a great job driving in the snow for the first time ever I must say :)  It was definitely an experience I will never forget. Luckily I only slid a couple of times and that was no fault of mine. It was quite the adventure and one I'm glad I got to do as I can now say I have successfully driven in the snow.  Now driving in it can be quite stressful but playing in the snow is sooooo much fun.  I don't know why people aren't out there in it all the time!  We ended up getting that full foot of snow. Here are a couple pics from my 2014 snow adventure :)
