Space Shuttle Discovery's last launch....

Unfortunately I didn't make it over to the KSC to see the launch (they were expecting over 50,000 people which = mass insanity trying to leave and sitting for hours in traffic) but I did get to watch it from Lake Underhill.  Of course the skies were nice and clear most of the day up until right before the launch when the big billowing things started rolling in.  I was still able to watch it go up in between the clouds and snap a few shots...

Only 2 more shuttle launches left and then the program is retired. It will be weird to no longer have these going up in our backyard every year. No more sonic booms scaring the crap out of you because you forgot the shuttle was landing.  It's crazy to think about.

Fun Adventures just about anyone can do.....Adventure #1

Ziplining

If you haven't done it...DO IT! I can't even describe the thrill you get jumping off the platform and zipping along through whatever terrain you chose to do it in.  It's so exhilarating...it's like you can't get enough. Make sure while zipping along you actually check out your view. A lot of people get caught up in concentrating on when they need to pay attention to stop. You have plenty of time to worry about that after taking a glance at the amazing landscape whizzing by you.

I've gone twice in my life...once here in FL over swampland and rough terrain and once in Hawaii over huge valley's and trees with a view of the ocean.  Next goal for this adventure is the rain forest...how amazing would that be!!
