I heart Nashville....

Finally visited Nashville for the first time last month and I instantly fell in love with it!!! Such a fun, energetic city.  Being a country music fan made this trip even more exciting for me.  The amount of live music always going on simple amazed me.  I can't wait to go back! 

DIY Wine Bottle Candle Holders.....

 Some friends and I decided to take a stab at making our own wine bottle candle holders. After doing a little research online and purchasing a glass bottle cutter we were ready to see what kind of magic we could make.  It took a few (ok several) tries for us to figure things out but we finally got it and the end result was beautiful :) We have decided the thickness and quality of the glass definitely plays a major role in how the glass breaks.  Some pics below of the process and end result.  We used the boiling water/ice water route but there are several other options out there should you want to give it a shot. Sorry for the quality of some of the pics....we were just so excited lol!

KISS concert....

Went to my first and probably last KISS concert last night at the Amway Arena here in Orlando. Definitely not my kind of concert music but they at least put on a good show.  The last song they performed was finally one I knew..."I wanna rock n' roll all night and party every day".  I will say that Gene Simmons frightened me a tad during one of his songs where there was "blood" coming all out of his mouth.  Glad I went but yeah not going to make it a repeat one lol!  Picture below I took of Gene rockin' out in full fledged crazy KISS costume. 

NASCAR....signing the track at Daytona

Last month I attended the Coke Zero 400 NASCAR race at Daytona International Speedway.  Luckily I have a friend who works with Coke as a partner so we got to watch the race from their awesome suite. Thank goodness as it was July in Florida which means it's a thousand degrees outside and the suite was air conditioned :) Well while wandering around before the race we went down the track at the start/finish line and I noticed all of these people squatting down and signing the actual line.  I thought to myself "when in Rome" so I grabbed a sharpie and signed my name to the track as well. Who the heck knew you could actually sign the track!!  These people were signing the yellow lines down the middle of the track, the white outside lines....anywhere they could get the sharpie to show up they were signing away.  I think I was pretty smart to sign the start/finish because really who is going to take the time to read the yellow lines??  Now my name (and Sugarland bc you know I couldn't just sign my name) is forever on the Daytona track....or at least until someone comes by and scribbles over it.  Pic below of the fun!

St. Pete Beach in July....

St. Pete Beach is a beautiful beach when the sun is out :)  After two days in a row of rain the sun finally made an appearance while I was there.  Couple seashell pics I took below.  

Meeting NKOTB....

OMG, OMG, OMG.....I am still freaking out that I actually got to get my picture with New Kids on the Block aka NKOTB!!!  Oh and not only did I get to get my picture with them but I attended an exclusive press conference that they did for the local radio station Mix 105.1!!  So much flippin fun I can't even describe it so just look below at how awesome my friend Tammy & I look standing among these hotties :)
